500 ml bottle purchased from the brewery for $4.95 CDN. Served cold into a tulip.
Appearance - Hazy, pinkish red, with a small half finger of foam. A little overflow from the bottle upon opening.
Smell - Tart smelling, vinous, some must and wood. Sour cherry integrated into all that.
Taste - Like the nose with cherry are general tartness dominating, wood and hints of vinous grape in the background. Some wheat and a grainy quality at the close after repeated sipping.
Mouthfeel - Quite fizzy, mouth puckering tartness with a medium-light body.
Overall - A solid representation of an American wild ale, although I'm sure it's crossed with a number of Belgian style elements.
