500 ml bottle served cold into a pint glass. Brewery purchase for under $7 CDN. Listed as a White wine golden sour aged on cranberries and golden berries.
Appearance - Relatively pale golden beer with peach hues. Small half finger of white froth on top burns away almost instantly. A little bit hazy, lets call it opaque. Lots of carbonation fizzles up to the top.
Smell - Sour and tart smelling, vinous with wood, cranberries and grapes. Complex and most certainly a sour beer special.
Taste - Quite tart, with cranberries and grapes showing through. a touch of vanilla and grainy tasting finish. Less fruit and berries than expected.
Mouthfeel - Dry finish, a creamy and well carbonated body and pretty crisp.
Overall - I like it quite a bit, but don't love it. Don't get that much berry or even grape for the matter, nor is anything else terribly dominant. I think I say with some certainty that this will be a brew that is enjoyed in the eyes of the drinker.
