500 ml bottle purchased from the brewery for $6.60 CDN. Served cold into a chalice.
Appearance - Very pale clear golden color with two fingers of loose fluffy white head. The head fades quickly as a bit of haze settles in an the previously brisk carbonation settles. Plenty of haze once the yeast is poured in.
Smell - Some juicy fruits in the nose led by sweet grape and hints of cantaloupe. Kind of herbal underneath all that.
Taste - Some funk some sweet grape, a little wood to smooth everything out. A touch herbal. Not really an IPA, but it's not a sour or wild ale either. Interesting combo. Not sweet, but not bitter either.
Mouthfeel - Very dry, good carbonation and a fairly light body.
Overall - A pretty decent Brut IPA that's a little funky. The dryness is pretty sensational here and the brett is well incorporated to make it present but not completely dominate this beer either. Good balance, even if the flavors aren't for everyone
