500 ml bottle from the brewery for $5.95 CDN. Served at cellar temperature into a pint glass. Bottled November 29, 2019.
Appearance - Dark brown, near black in color with many fingers of frothy reddish-tinged tan head. Very good staying power as well.
Smell - A little coffee, more chocolate and pomegranate and other berry notes (apparently Boysenberry)
Taste - A touch of milk chocolate at first then the fruit comes to the forefront with pomegranate and other wild berries. A touch of cocoa powder to close. Tasty enough, maybe not the most cohesive flavors.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, good carbonation a touch chalky at the close.
Overall - Pretty tasty flavored stout that worth a shot. Given the steeper price, I'm unlikely to return, but even still Love Drop was quite a tasty brew.
