Glad someone added this beer so I can review it, as its quite an unusual offering from Nimbus. A good looking pint, medium golden brown (like a pretty Labrador), but I expected a little more of a Dunkel look than Weizen. Smell is interesting, a sour green apple kind of aroma with some spice (coriander & clove?) mixed in with a pretty typical wheaty undertone. It tastes about like you would expect from the smell, some character from the yeast, balance of malt and hops, touch of the spices, but the slight fruitiness and sour tastes prevail. Not a bad sour taste, just one that you want to savor a while for the purposes of exploration. Mouthfeel is good, fairly smooth, noticable carbonation. I rate the drinkability low because I could only have one of these at a time before moving on to something else. Its not that I dislike the beer, but its a "change of pace" kind of offering, something that's nice for Nimbus to have as a seasonal once a year, but not something I'd want to drink every month.

This beer sits in my pint glass a lightly hazy dark amber color. It is topped by a thin head that is fairly pale. The aroma is sour and fruity with hints of bubblegum, banana and clove. The taste is sweet, rich, fruity and surprisingly it is slightly sour as well. I must admit that I like the subtle sourness, but is it actually supposed to be here, I would guess not. It is almost like eating a sour plum. This is currently quite enjoyable, but I have a feeling that with time it will only get more off. This is quite tasty, but be warned it may not be in quite as good condition a month from now.
