Draft poured into a De Molen taster at Brouwcafe de Molen.
Decandent chocolate-y sweet and toffee flavors dominate the nose, except this time they're joined by a nice mellow oak and somewhat smoky/peaty afterthought, which might offer some clues as to what type of whisk(e)y barrel was employed.
Chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate dominate the tongue, this time joined by a significant presence of smoke and spice toward the back. The sweet milk chocolate-y character remains unaltered from the non-BA version, while the mellow dry-ish finish is amplified with the aforementioned whisky characteristics. If this was being sold at the Bierwinkel this very moment, I'd probably buy a few bottles of it without even looking at the price -- it's that good.
Full-bodied with negligent carbonation. Sticky on the lips, this time with a slight booze burn which is going straight down to my stomach at the moment. Not that you'd want to drink something like this on a regular basis of course, but the Dutch should feel so lucky that they're able to get a beer of this calibre on a somewhat regular basis.

33cl bottle. Dark mahogany with a thin tan head. Smoke, dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, tons of peated whiskey well integrated. but still taking the spotlight. Super smooth texture with a low carbonation and a bitter and smoky aftertaste.
