Dark brown colour, almost no foam, oily consistency, forms beads when poured. Some sediments also present.
Smell of brandy, honey and ripe fruits, fermented grapes.
The taste greets you with a melted caramel jam and autumn fruits, like a wine with less alcohol (only 12%), then leaving room for a slightly bitter, but consistent malt, complemented by the honey. The barrel is present, but very fine, not with that strong and immediately recognizable woody taste, but rather a mulberry wood, sweet, which ennobled a distillate over time.
Almost dry aftertaste, with hints of burnt wood and dried fruits.
A De Molen experience to try out without hesitation!

Bottle from La Fine Mousse
Waxed.
Tan head. Black in color.
Very complex beer. It has so much unique barrel flavors. some sweet port like notes. Plums, molasses, raisins, caramel, and toffee. Brown sugar notes. Oak and vanilla. The coffee is there, but I can imagine it has faded over the years. Everything is working with this beer.
Full bodied. Nice feel and carbonation level.
A very complex stout that was exciting to try. Amazing brew. I was lucky to try this one.
