Not quite the usual tripel this is. Appearance is amber in color and hazy-looking, with a small head.
Aroma is gentle, yet strong and combines a heavy, sour and sweet fruitiness with a spicy (ginger? thyme?) and hoppy note. Alcohol is also present.
In accentuating dominantly hop and malt, the taste reveals a whole different side to the brew. It develops from a full and sweet maltness to a salty finish to a bitter and long-lasting after-taste.
Mouthfeel is full and strong, with the carbonation being a bit on the low side
Personally, not my kind op tripel. But a high quality beer without a doubt.

I tasted this beer at the brewery and being a high ABV beer, it was one of the last beers I had. It pours a murky, dirty amber color with a nice head retention. Not really a colour I would expect from a triple. I suspect the usage of a considerable amount of crystal malt.
This was also apparent in the smell, which was hoppy, but also caramellic and slightly smoky and roasted.
The taste was nice, earthy hops and caramel, again leaning towards the smoky side. This gives the beer a nice depth and body. The 9,5% ABV was somewhere hidden in the back and the drinkability was excellent. Not the typical triple, but absolutely a nice interpretation of the style.
