De 32gp. En copa Teku. Jugando a Ori and the Blind Forest. Muchisima avellana, que si bien al principio pueda parecer algo pasada de rosca no sabe uno como se le termina la birra en un santiamen

Got this one from the liquor store in Maarssen
From a bottle into a snifter
24* Plato
EBC: 297
EBU: 102
ABV: 10%
Imperial stout with hazelnut syrup
APPEARANCE: Pours out clear black and yields a three finger, medium looking, creamy tan head with great retention. Black body with higher levels of carbonation evident for the style. Head recedes at a snail like pace, but eventually recedes to a full, foamy cap and leaves lots of lacing on the glass. Splotchy wisp remains until the end leaving some decent lacing on the glass.
SMELL: Lots of hazelnut right out of the bottle. Milk chocolate, vanilla cream notes, some light roasted character, but this is mostly hazelnut cream all the time. Bold.
TASTE: Hazelnut, vanilla cream, milk chocolate and some roasted and chocolaty bitterness at the swallow. Bold finish of sweet vanilla and milk chocolate, hazelnut syrup, toffee, roasted coffee and pure chocolate bitterness lingers on the palate. Flavorful, with plenty of sweet hazelnut and bitter, roasted coffee character.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Creamy smooth on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes somewhat mouth-coating. A bit of heat and some decent bitterness lingers.
OVERALL: Good stuff. The sweet hazelnut syrup is quite nice at the beginning but does get a little trying as the glass empties. Still, H&V is an old time favorite and pretty much every incarnation of it comes out enjoyable. Give this one a shot if you see it. I don’t think I’ve had a De Molen beer in at least two years so this is a nice re-introduction. Cheers!

Poured from fridge temp. Pours black with very little carbonation. Almost no head. Nose is full of hazelnut! Absolutely amazing nose. Creamy chocolate and vanilla as well. Almost no bitterness. Taste nicely follows the nose, with a hint of roasted smoke bitterness. Lots of hazelnut, chocolate, and some dark fruit (cherries). Mouthfeel is nice and creamy. Great beer.
