Copenhagen 10/6 2020. 33 cl bottle from Vild med Vin web-shop. De Molens usual austere design with neat and detailed writing in black on a white label. And the small logo with the Mill.
Pours opaque dark brown with a huge beige head. Settles as frothy 1 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer.
Aroma is intense with a fairly strong sweet odor with some spicy, roasted notes. Brown sugar, toffee, dark chocolate. Earthy wet soil. Tobacco and leather. Light fruitiness peeking in.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, creamy texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers for a while. Caramel-ish finish.
Potent and fairly well-balanced Imperial Porter. And smooth as hell.

LCI @ BBF 2018, day 1. The name is the most fun about this beer by far. It's not a bad beer, it even has a hint of spice in it, of which I now see it was created by juniper berries. Boring, though, and needs way more taste. It needs allemaal maggi's.

Bottle @ home - ABV is 7.9% btw. A bit over one ywar after bottling. Pours a jet black colour and a huge light brown head with big bubbles and long retention. Aroma's of roasted malts, a bit coffee-ish, and some tropical fruit, which combine surprisingly well here. Retronasal it's the same but all more pronounced, with bitter (chocolate) added. Flavour is light sweet, roasted bitter, with fruit added. Medium bodied. Quite high carbonation. Long finish with lots of roast and moderate bitterness. Nice!
