Copenhagen 18/6 2020. 33 cl bottle from Vild med Vin web-shop. De Molens usual austere design with neat and detailed writing in black on a white label. And the small logo with the Mill.
Pours opaque dark brown with a medium-sized, dark beige head. Stable. Settles as 2 cm thick layer of dense foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong sweet, candy-like odor with hints of sweet fruits. Chocolate ice-cream, milkshake, lactose, brown sugar, toffee. Sweet, dark cherries.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, fat, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a bitter undercurrent. Lingering. Bitter and a bit harsh finish.
Reminds me of a pastry beer with the sweet aroma of ice dessert. But it gets a little fruity, uplift from the addition of cherries and a notable bitter bite in the finish.
