Poured from a 700ml corked and caged bottle into an oversized wine glass.
Appearance: Dark brown in colour with a thin tan head, and light visible carbonation.
Aroma: Rich and malty aroma, lots of sweetness, caramels, a touch of nuttiness, and subtle blast of alcohol.
Taste: The flavours are driven by heavy dark malts, with chocolate, cashew nuts, and dark caramel coming through. Nice and rounded.
Mouthfeel: Quite light considering the style, with a creamy texture and subtle but lively carbonation.
Drinkability: Very enjoyable beer, and certainly one I will have again. Considering the alcohol content, it's very drinkable, and couple of glasses is easily finished.

Bought this bottle at the Molen brewery. Poured into a Mort Subite glass. The beer pours a nice hazy dark-ruby-brown color with a small light brown head, resulting in a not very stable lacing.
Smell: The smell is very nice. Fruity (plums, figs), roasted malts, caramel and some hints of liquorish.
Taste: Dark chocolate, very malty, caramels, bit nutty, liquorish and some sour, tart cherries. Aftertaste is long-lasting with bitter (hops) and some sharp spices in the end. Alcohol is well hidden.
Mouthfeel: Yesss!!! Finally a dark beer from the Molen brewery with carbonation (medium). The mouthfeel is very soft and creamy, medium-bodied.
Overall: I like this beer! As mentioned earlier, this beer has carbonation, which is quite special for a the Molen brew. Well balanced beer, easy to drink, only the tartness was a bit too much for me. But still, recommendable!

Tasted at the WBF-08 in Gouda, NL.
A dark brown beer with a thin head.
Smell is malty with a big caramel backbone and some mild roast. There are some chocolate notes. The beer smells like a German Doppelbock and the yeast is probably bottom fermenting.
Taste is big malty with caramel and maltbitterness. The dark malts add a roasted and chocolate flavor. The hops are also quite aromatic and balance the big body. The beer is a German doppelbock and the yeast is pretty clean and light fruity with some sulfur notes. One of the best beers of the festival.
