A dark brown beer with red hues and an initial big head, that dies down in a couple of sips.

Smell is actually quite light for a beer with this strength. There is caramel and alcohol, for me a winning combination, and a nice yeast profile with lots of fruit, cherries mainly. Also a very hard to determine off-flavor that could be either metallic or sourness, but very light and hardly worth mentioning.

Taste is sweet and sticky with a big alcoholic sensation, pretty warming effect. A real sipper. This is followed by a strong sweet caramel and toffee maltiness. The yeast is fruity and gives some cherry notes. To balance all this sweet malt there is quite a strong bitterness. A good beer, just a little too sweet for me.
