A murky aroange beer with a creamy head that settles into a 1/2 inch foam.
Smell is malty and sweet with hints of honey. A light hoppy smell. The yeast is very typical meibok, with light sulfur and accentuating the malt profile.
Taste is less malty than the smell would make me expect. A full-bodied beer with strong honey notes. Pretty bitter but nicely balanced with the dextrinous body of the beer. The yeast is spicy and adds a light sulfur and grassy taste. Carbonation is a little overdone, bubbles are big and foam up in my mouth. Aftertaste is dry and lingering bitter.

I brought a 750 of this back from the Bierkoning in Amsterdam on a recent trip. It was enjoyed with some friends and divided into 8.5 oz chalices.
A- poured a creamy, hazy yellow color; rich foamy white head; settled to nice white cap; some lacing on glass; med/large carbonation bubbles rising from bottom while settling
S- soft pleasant aroma of fresh young banana, apricot, yeast
T- very inviting palate of fresh banana and apricot; mild herbal/grassy notes; some citrus bitter with a drying finish
M- fizzy in the mouth in the front then settling to a fairly smooth, almost creamy consistency
D- I enjoyed the slightly fizzy, but complex texture. I thought it brought out the flavors nicely. I also liked the sweet fruit without the dark overly ripe flavors. It kept it light and very drinkable. I could drink several of these in one setting no problem. Very minimal booze for 7.2%. Yum.

750ml bottle best by March '10. Pours a hazy orange-gold with a large, frothy white head. Smells incredibly fruity, with apple and orange notes. Tart aroma from the wheat. Very sweet and yeasty. Taste is again quite fruity, with notes of orange, apricot, pear, and faint banana. Spicy yeast character with coriander. Some hop bitterness is barely noticeable later on. The driest finish I've ever had in a wheat beer (maybe any beer). Light-medium body and very effervescent. A really interesting wheat beer. The fruitiness goes along with the incredible dryness and effervescence to make this one really refreshing. One of those that grows on you.

Thanks Absumaster for this rare one not available in NAmerica. This is definately a wheat beer. It is very wheaty and orange citrus. The aroma is wheaty with some funky yeast. Grainy mouthfeel that is also soothing. It grows on me, and lots of lace layers.A nice one for cooking as well, the last cp lent great flavour to a spicey fish stew.
