L- Looks black, but surpisingly held right by a halogen some ruby-ref flashes do show through it. Pours with 2mm mid-tan head, unsurprisingly at 12.2% the foam isn't going to loiter long.
S- Gin, it completely dominates for me. I get gin and then some minor sense of richness beneath it.
T- A mili-second hint of chocolate then WHAM! gin > cocoa > wine (!?) > sherry barrels? > winey cocoa ginny beer.
F- The interesting thing is how over-whelming this could easily be if it weren't so carefully balanced.
O- A good beer as we head into winter, ideal for slow sippin'. Could make a treat for the black-beer + gin fan. [It comes in a fancy bottle with a red wax-dipped cap and neck]. Damned $$$ but special with it and perhaps not something anyone will be sessioning any time soon ;;
330ml bottle £7.25 Bottled: 31/03/20 BB: 31/03/30. Bought from TremblingMadness/York for home delivery (of a mixed case) to London.
