Looks a lot like the non barrel aged but it has some nice extra fruit added from the barrel compared with a good amount vanilla

Big + easily stirred-up sediment. I poured slowly and left 20ml in the bottle which is like full-on silt.
L- Deep ruby chestnut, mostly clear though a touch of sediment entered the pour near the end. A patch of very thin white foam; this ABV% cannot support foam.
S- Wine barrels. Then some timber notes - that's all I get.
T- Wine, richsweet, big wine.
F- ABV% zings my throat hard on the swallow. It triggers instant hiccups; I've experienced this before, weird.
O- What on earth do I make of this? It tastes almost more like a high ABV% super-rich fizzy red wine than beer, or a 50/50 mix of a dry red wine and rich port.
Interesting to try, but I like beer that tastes like beer (wine like wine and not wine like beer) and this just has too much going on for me.
330ml nottle BB: 15/04/2030 £8 - ouch.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
