This beer is just the best beer I've ever tasted.
Great complexity with Double IPA style, freshness, hops, fruits (grapefruit, lemon, passion fruits, mango...) combine with Imperial Stout style, creamy coffee, dark chocolate, toffee...
Perfect balance between all flavours
Perfect control of alcohol and bitterness.
Perfect mouthfeel.
STUNNING !
De Molen brewery, I love you ! I want a thousand bottles of this beer in my cellar ! Ok, I dream...

NOTE: A blend of the barrel aged versions of the brewery's Rasputin and Amarillo.
Hazy pale orange with brown hues. A small off-white head leaves some lacings.
The aroma is mostly of piney and citric hops and caramel with notes of toffee, roasted malts and spices. Not entirely integrated.
The flavor is rather sweet with a gentle bitterness to it. Caramel malts, vanilla and toffee coupled with fading hops of lemon-peel and pine-needles. Some notes of roasted malts. Smooth notes of sweet oak barrel flavors. The finish is mildly bitter with a note of alcohol and malts and some hops.
Medium to full body with very restrained carbonation and oily texture. The low level of carbonation is really bothersome.
I didn't really get this one. Feels fragmentary and unpolished. It packs an impressive amount of flavors, but the overall composition is a bit too strange.
