On tap at BBF 2011
Look: Pitch black with a nice brown head.
Smell: roasted coffee, chocolate, sour fruits, liquorice and some leather.
Taste: Very complex. Chocolate, coffee, leather, liquorice, malts, some sweet dark fruits and something lightly sour. Sweet and bitter are in perfect balance.
Mouthfeel: thick body, medium carbonation, extremely smooth.
Overall: The molen is often hit or miss, this is a hit! The surprise of the beer festival!

I had this beer at Borefts. This beer had a secret ingredient. All attenders were asked to guess what the secret ingredient was. You could win a the Molen beerbox, so... I had to give it a go.

A - A dark, dark beer with only a tiny head

S - Oak, wood, peat, cherries, whisky

T - Cherries, whisky, vanilla, spices, citrus (orange apple), a very nice and complex brew, weldone!

M - low carbonation and syrupy

O - A very good and complex beer, I definitely would buy it again.

And the secret ingredient was cheese or orange-juice according to me.

What a beer the guys from the Molen made for the 2011 Borefts festival. They had put a secret ingredient in it and the visitors could guess the ingredient in a contest. I thought it was cheese from Gouda.

This is a regular imperial stout but one of the best i have ver tasted. Very darkbrown fluid with a bit of a weak head. Chocolate and coffeenotes all over the place. Also some fruityness and a light sourness over it. You can get the barreltaste while drinking it. Great beer for a great festival!
