Thanks to Kristina for sharing this rarity - one of 96 bottles I believe. Served in a Glunz taster glass.
A - Tan foam settles to a thin collar, leaving no lace behind. One of the darkest De Molen beers, a very, very dark brown verging on black.
S - Mighty fuck that's a lot of peat and Scotch whisky! There's a faint malt sweetness to remind you this is a beer, which instantly elevates this out of Brewdog territory, but it's still a tad overbearing.
T - The taste is a bit more balanced, with notes of chocolate, caramel, and brown sugar mingling with the Islay and peat flavors. Finish is somewhat medicinal, with notes of iodine and smoke.
M - Smooth texture, lower carbonation, medium-full body, and a bit of warming alcohol. Pretty nice and stylistically appropriate.
D - This was surprisingly enjoyable once I got pass the mildly off-putting aroma. It's a very intense beer and not for the faint of heart.
