330ml bottle. De Molen Flute glass. Enjoyed on mar´13. Deep ruby color. Clear appearance. Off-white to yellowish froth creates a close to creamy crown. Active bubbles coming up & down but good retention. Aromas of toasted malts, molasses & alcohol, hints of burnt black bread. Smooth malty flavor & earthy hoppiness at first sip. Spicy touch follows. Medium body. Moderate to high carbonation. Slight wood & resins in the middle as well as roasted coffee grain & rye dryness linger into long bitter finish. Resins & rye remain on the aftertaste. Refreshing, delightful & unforgetable beer. How rye works is perfectly shown in this.
