Had on May 1, poured from 22-oz. bomber, purchased at the Foothills Pub, Winston-Salem, NC, into hotel water glass. This brewery makes a new IPA every month as good or better than many year-round IPAs.

Cloudy amber with a big white head.
Smell is big citrus and tropical notes, orange, lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, melon.
The taste is much like the smell, citrus, bitter, very tasty. There was a slightly watery finish which brought down the score a little.
The mouthfeel is light with medium carbonation, very easy drinking.
Overall a very tasty ipa, I've been enjoying the ipa of the month beers and will definitely be picking up the others if I see them.

Best smelling and tasting IPA I have had so far from Foothills Brewing! With notes of bubblegum and cotton candy for smell and an amazingly smooth hop finish of dankness you definitely can't go wrong with this beer!

Appearance: Arrives with a pretty clear amber color capped by an inch of foam; stringy lacing
Smell: Tropical fruit aromatics, slightly sugary, with pineapple, peach passion fruit and grapefruit tones
Taste: Just a touch of shortbread malt and then the tropical fruit parade begins, with pineapple, peach, passion fruit and grapefruit dominant; slightly sweet but mostly fruity on the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate but slightly prickly carbonation
Overall: A nice blend of hops on this one; quite enjoyable for the warming weather
