I really look foward to these ipas of the month, but this one was not a winner. A bit overcarbonated, and feel like I am detecting something a bit off in the nose and flavor that reminds me of when I used to attempt to homebrew. The flavor profile itself is muddled, bitter, and very earthy. Not typical of the lighter and brighter tropical fruit flavors these offerings usually have. I know they all can't be the same, and all to the profiles I prefer, but this one really didn't do it for me. Definitely not picking up any more of this one.

Pours a cloudy amber with a thin white head.

The smell is lemon, orange, a little bit of malt.

The taste is much like the smell, big orange and lemon. There is a pretty sweet malt backbone in there.

The mouthfeel is medium bodied/low to medium carbonation.

Overall a good ipa, a little more alcohol than the previous months.

Appearance is cloudy golden. Aromas of citrus, grapefruit. Flavors of citrus, grapefruit with pine and hints of malt. mildly bitter on the palate.

Foggy orange color under a lovely lumpy, bubbly head. Surprisingly fruity aroma given the hop profile, though I think yeast is playing a large part in that. Some mango and grass. Flavor is a similarly muddled blend of peaches, tea, grassy/spicy hops, and buttery biscuit malts. Medium bodied and smooth. Not one of the better ones.

Evenly clouded/muddied orange color with an off white clumpy foam head. Lace seems to be medium sticky and casually shifting as I get deeper into the beer. Aroma is sweet, grassy, dry and citrus rindy, odd fruitness...kind of peachy gone tropical, herbal, and earthy. Taste matches. Dry, peach tropical, grass, herb, a little bit of hop spice. Interesting. Pleasant but not spectacular. I don't know why but I have a feeling this came out a bit different then intended by Foothills. I could of course be wrong about that. Overall not bad and worth a try.

Appearance: Arrives cloudy and apricot-colored; a nice head lingers on top of the liquid and spreads a fair amount of lacing around

Smell: Bright and fruity, with sugar-coated ruby red grapefruit and pineapple aromatics

Taste: Biscuity malt underpins the tropical fruit tones of grapefruit and pineapple; as the bitterness builds, after the swallow, the candy-like sweetness builds to serve as a foil

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: A higher ABV for the cooler months; just a bit too sweet for my palate but otherwise delightful

One of the bigger "IPA of the Month" offerings from what I can remember at 6.9% ABV. not 6.3%.Came in a standard pint a clear rich copper color with a nice looking soapy head atop.Big spicy and earthy hops on the palate with even a hint of rye-like notes. The palate has that sharpness on it as well along with earth and biscuit malts, there is some pine in the finish. Now this is a little different and i like it,if I didn't know I would have thought there was a little rye in there.
