Rocky orange sherbet fills four inches of an Urthel tulip before receding at the rate of continental drift, leaving a webbing of sticky lace in its wake. The beer is sunset orange, with the associated haze. Rapid columns of carbonation replenish the head, which never dissipates, but rather forms a column in the middle of the glass.
Strong floral hops greet the nose and oscillate between tangerine and pine needles. The aroma is fresh with a mild astringency. Warmth draws out faint powdered soap.
The flavor is bitter but quite well controlled with tropical fruit and mild grapefruit. The middle is sweet and followed by a long, mild finish. Warmth reveals Creamsicle flavors.
This IIPA is chewy and full-bodied with the texture of cotton balls. Fine carbonation controls the alcohol. It finishes dry.
While the story of Violet is sad, this beer is a respectable homage to her memory. Easy and refreshing, one can enjoy this IIPA on its own or with casual conversation with old friends.

Maybe the' biggest' IPA of the month from Foothills...can't remember.Pours into an oversized wine glass a menacing hazed burnt orange with a billowing slight off white head that clings to the glass like glue, awesome pour...really.Some tropical fruits and big sweetness in the nose, par for the course.A nice smooth fuller feel to the beer, slides down easy.Boozy and tropical fruity,no bitterness to be had here,it's a bit sweet, the booze is large but not in charge, alot of complexities, subtle as they may be here.
