Poured from the draft into a growler at the downtown location. Pours crystal clear and dark golden in color. A very small white head forms and immediately recedes into a ring of film around the edges of the beer.
Aroma was slightly hoppy but a little funky.
Slightly fruity and a touch malty with a bit of yeast flavor. The yeast flavor seems to be a bit strong. Slight hop flavor with some chocolate and caramel malts. Quite smooth and drinkable.
Not nearly as bitter as the session brown ale. I liked this one much better and is an easy drinker. Certainly sessionable and a very pleasant beer to consume.
