Ok, be careful about the "a" and the "o" in the hxppyum line. I thought I was getting o, but actually got a. On tap at brewpub downtown. Yeah, it is a very solid imperial with a not too strong southern syrup mouth feel. Smell was maybe weakest point, just not a big bouquet. Not my total favorite style, but good stuff.

Picked up a mixed sixer on 7-24-24 from the Ingles cooler on Airport Road in Arden for $11.99. Filled on 6-4-24; consumed 9-11-24.
Beer poured a hazy golden-orange with a very nice white head with the original pour.
Nose is nice, getting notes of citrus, tropical, and floral hops.
Taste is a larger but light pale malt base that is giving me notes of orange, mango, and grapefruit. Finishes with a citrus rind bitterness; 7/10 on my scale.
Mouthfeel is light and very refreshing for a higher gravity brew.
Overall, this is a flavorful solid DIPA!

For an IPA that you find at the regular grocery store, and is pretty inexpensive, this is totally solid. Medium hoppy, and a bit juicy - well balanced overall. You can tell it’s pretty potent (8%), but is not overly boozy. Will definitely grab again, as I can’t always justify getting the spendy, artisanal beers.

12 oz can from NC. Revisited in 2024 with a 19.2 oz tall can from near the Asheville brewery.
Appearance. Pours with a hazy amber colored body and a good white head. A little bit of sediment accumulated in the bottom of my glass as I slowly drank this.
Boozy aroma and slightly boozy flavor but the ABV is very well hidden in the feel. The flavor is about moderately strong and bitter for a DIPA but exceptionally juicy and fruity.

Foothills submission in the Imperial hazy IPA genre...super citrus-hoppy-juicy and the 8% is all but invisible. I was expecting more from the makers of Jade & Seeing Double.

12 oz bottle , bottled 12/21/21, poured into a tulip glass. A hazy golden orange with a one finger head that retains well on the side of the glass as it slowly dissipates. Aroma is mild citrus, orange/grapefruit variety. The taste is citrus forward, a small amount of malt balance, though the alcohol remains well hidden. The feel is light and refreshing, with a medium high amount of carbonation. Tasty.
