On tap at Busy Bee served in a standard pint glass a deep opaque black with a nice frothy lasting light tan head. Aroma is a nice fragrant blend of dark malts and charred oak with a hint of Bourbon. The taste is a very nice balance of smooth dark malts and a nice subtle but present Bourbon oak flavor. The beer is light, crisp and smooth. This one was much easier to drink than the Hoppyum, and surprisingly, better than the Pappy Van Winkle aged Peoples Porter I had a few months ago.
