Had this at Brewvival and didn't realize what it was. Glad to find it again on tap! Served from tap into a Peak Organic shaker in the company of beeruser. Poured a dark reddish brown with a one finger khaki head that subsided to half a finger slowly. Maintained excellent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, milk chocolate, wood, and subtle smoke. The flavor was of sweet malt, milk chocolate, wood, very subtle smoke, and caramel. It had a medium feel on the palate with medium carbonation. Overall this was a pretty good brew. It kind of reminded me of Southern Tier Choklat only a little less intense. Good flavor profile going on here and a decent aroma. The burnt barrel added a pretty nice aspect to this one. Definitely worth trying this one or ticking it, either way. Tick.
