Poured from a 12 oz can into a New Belgium Globe glass
The beer pours almost completely black with about two fingers worth of khaki head that recedes slowly, leaving virtually no lacing.
The aroma is all coffee, with notes of roasted malts. Fairly one dimensional
Taste follows the nose closely. Big on coffee, and roasted malts. Some burnt notes, and just a hint of bitterness. Medium bodied, and moderately carbonated
Overall, not a bad beer, very coffee forward

12 oz can from the Appalachian Vintner in Asheville, NC ($2.38). A canning date of February 24, 2025 is stamped on the bottom of the can.
Appearance. Black coffee with a durable beige head.
At less than $2.50 per can, this 20th Anniversary brew is well worth seeking out despite a disappointing aroma. It has a rich, nicely balanced flavor with coffee notes comprising, for me, at least 60% of the flavor.
Thanks and congratulations Foothills Brewing.
