Commonly referred to as IPA, this highly hopped brew is packed full of flavor with sharp bitter finish. British soldiers serving in the far flung colony of India would appreciate this ale, which can be enjoyed with a variety of meals.

Taster at the source.
Slightly hazy light golden color with a thin white head. Earthy light fruity hop aroma with some bready malt underneath. Somewhat harsh bitterness at first. Decent English bitter/IPA

A mediocre pale ale with significant effervescent and yeast flavors. It pours golden clear and has a decent malt and hop body but is lacking in any strong and defining characteristics.

On a cruise from NJ to Bermuda the ship was docked at King's Wharf in the Royal Naval Dockyard. Stopped into the Frog and Onion Micro Brewery. Purchased a 5 glass sample.
A: Orange color wilt small amount of carbonation 1 finger head.
S: Caramel taste with slight hops presence.
T: Light caramel taste, some malt, and a slight citrus presence. Well balanced.
M: Medium body, slight carbonation, drinkable, and enjoyable.
O: Enjoyable, drinkable, my favorite of the five samples. Would purchase a full glass on a later trip.

Draught @ Hog Penny: This one poured a hazy, orangish light copper color. There was just a wisp of an off-white head on it. There was some lacing. The nose was quite good, and a little different from a typical IPA. There was a mix of floral, grapefruit and piney hops. Not as upfront as we are used to in an American IPA. The taste is nice. The hop bite is subdued. Get some caramel malts, biscuit, touch of mild fruit. Nice.
