Dark amber color with a greenish, brownish, tinge. Modest foam in the pint shaker. Thin body with decent carbonation to start, though it does flatten out eventually.
Rich and hoppy with a dark, dank note. There is a lot of dark roasted malt in the flavor, but not really the burnt stout kind of malt. Some caramel with a hint of sweetness. The bitterness takes over along with a tangy, almost acidic sensation. Gets more bitter as you sip. Not bad to slurp on when you're thirsty, but it's more herbal and medicinal than I like.
On tap at the Beaver Street brewpub. It's not clear to me what is made by Lumberyard and what is Beaver St. as they are so closely tied.
