12oz bottle purchased as a mixed 6-pack from Jovi in Gatineau. Pours a pale clear gold with decent head. Reasonable malty aroma. Flavour is relatively straightforward, though not too bad for what it is. Decent earthy maltiness with a light hop profile. Not a bad lager. Re-rated down a notch after a second bottle that didn't impress.

341 mL brown bottle.

Pours a pale yellow with a thick white head that diappears fairly quickly.

Aroma is bready and grainy with a sour note in the background.

Starts off sweet and biscuity and dries out a bit towards the end. Not much hops to speak of. Faintly astringent and bitter finish. Mouthfeel is slick with moderate carbonation.

Nothing to get excited about here.

Thin white head that leaves some slippery lace on the side of the glass. Straw yellow and clear.

Very mild aroma of raw grass and hay. A small step up from the macros.

Raw grain flavors with a mild touch of hop. Slight sourness. Crisp body and high carbonation.

As a Canadian might say, "eh?" It comes across to me like a blend of a good micro and a poor macro, with the teeter-totter leaning towards the micro.

341 ml bottle. Notched as bottled on 08 or 09 2006. I never find the notches are clear. I prefer dates stamped on in nice obvious lettering.

A- Smallish white head that dissappears qwickly and completely. Some bubbles in beer. Clear yellow colour.

S- Standard beer smell of pale malt and faint herbal hops. Weak.

T- Slight sweet malt flavour and slight hops. Nothing very interesting about this one. No off notes at least. Not realy any more character than many macros.

MF- Decent mouthfeel. Not too watery. Smooth. Leaves a good feel in the mouth at the end of the drink.

D- Refreshing and light, as expected for the style. Lacks a certain something to make it stand out. Boring but not badly crafted.

Bottle: Poured a blonde lager with a small white bubbly head with average retention. Taste is very refreshing with some semi-sweet malt and a subtle hops presence. Body is a bit thin and there is a definite lack of complexity. This is in my opinion a very average session beer overall.

Bottled: poured a hazey honey-gold color. Active carbonation and a modest cap that laces well enough. Aromas of fresh milled toasty malts and a slight wisp of cider and herbs. Peppery mouth feel medium light bodied. Malty up front then a fruity acidic decernment from yeast and hops, clean fresh finish slight after taste of bread. A very decent pislsner in the German style...propbably will be over looked or buried in the flood of pilsners on the market, too bad this is a good all malt rendition of the style.
