Bottle: Poured a black color porter with a small dark brown foamy head with limited retention and light lacing. Aroma of chocolate malt with some sweet vinous notes from the Tawny barrels. Taste is a mix of chocolate notes with some sweet vinous notes from the Tawny barrels with madeira notes and some residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation and faint warming alcohol notes. Enjoyable version of this classic but not sure the madeira taste is a good mix with the bitter chocolate notes.
