On tap at the brewery's pub in downtown Ann Arbor.
Appearance. Clear amber colored body with a decent white head and limited clarity.
This has a fruity aroma with a hint of sweetness. The flavor is moderately bitter and hoppy for the style but less earthy than many of this style.

Served from a hand pull/cask into a nonic pint glass at the Grizzly Peak Brewing Company.
A: Pours a murky, almost muddy amber color with a 2 finger, off-white head, great (nearly a finger) long term retention but somewhat spotty lacing.
S: Tangy with aromas of cherrywood, apple and caramel. A lacto note?
T: Tart and semisweet. Cherry flavor definitely out front with apple, honey, and caramel more in the background. Subtle and balanced bitterness consistent with the style.
M: Medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation. A bit chewy on the palate.
O: Surprised by the low numbers. Spoke with the server: made with English grown hops. Presented as a Burton Ale. I thought this was a spot on rendition of the cask version of that style.
