Originally reviewed on January 21, 2005. On tap at the brewpub. Pour of deep dark black, with super creamy cask head. Light sea salt and roast aroma. Flavor is a watery plain roast, entirely too dark and without any bottom fermenation flavor. Too dark and too roasted, yet characterisitically thin. Lacked any richness or malt intensity. One dimensional.
