Served from a hand pulled cask into a 16 oz (473 ml) nonic pint glass at the Grizzly Peak Brewing Company in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
A: Pours a very slightly hazy, dark golden color with two to three finger, foamy, fluffy white head, solid retention (easily a finger), but somewhat spotty lacing.
S: Very fruity with orange, peach, and guava,, giving way to more caramel, asparagus, and pine. Perhaps a vanilla note.
T: More semisweet than semidry. Definitely favors the more citrus, caramel, and pine elements of the nose with the fruit fading as it warms. Subtle and balanced bitterness throughout.
M: Light to medium bodied with light carbonation., but a remarkable persistence of tiny bubbles throughout. Classic cask.
O: This is essentially Urban Warbear which has been aged in the barrel with Simcoe hops. Really a treat.
