Quite a nice cask conditioned beer from a decent local brewpub. One of my favorites from GP. Be prepared for the low carbonation (a bit different if your not used to it). Pretty mild for an IPA with more of a grassy aroma/taste with just a bit of the hoppiness coming in. Finishes off quite sweet, actually. As mentioned previously, tastes better a bit warmer than served. Overall, not a bad choice for a sweeter, milder IPA from GP.

For a cask-conditioned beer off of a hand pump this was served surprisingly cold. Not sure what’s going on, as it was a perfectly acceptable English-style IPA.
This looks a light, clear gold with white thick cotton on top. Looks good. There’s a lightly grassy somewhat sweet aroma with a light bitterness. Finishes sweet with a light hop bite, a touch of grass and some honey. I preferred it more as it warmed, to the point where it should have originally been served.

POurs a light golden at the brewpub, with light fluffy white head. Aroma is grassy and a bit one dimensional, without much sweetness here. Flavor is grassy hops, though a bit watered down, a little biscuit, some hay. Mostly hops on this one. The mouthfeel is slightly flat--something I find with a lot of the GP beers. Really lacking and the mouthfeel knocks this one down on the ratings. Not offensive though. Could not taste much difference between this and the American IPA.

A - Cloudy, golden colored beer with a pretty good sized head that had some nice retention.
S - A lot of buttery diacetyl with some light tropical fruit. Touch of citrusy grapefruit on top of overly grainy malts.
T - Tastes a lot like it smells. Buttery taste is somewhat distracting, and sweetened up by the tropical fruits in there. No real bitterness to break things up.
M - Smooth, medium bodied, lower carbonation.
O - Didn't feel this was a particularly well made beer. Taste wasn't offensive, but wasn't that good. Pass.
