Copenhagen 12/4 2017. 50 cl bottle from Kvickly, Østergade, Middelfart. Murky bog on the label. I see no sign of the Bog Hag brewing obscure fluids.
Pours clear dark brown with a gigantic light beige head. Settles beautifully as a fat 2,5 cm thick layer of creamy foam. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is of dark fermented fruit, smoke, Caramel and a hint of licorice.
Medium strong carbonation and slightly thick palate.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lightly smoky.
Pleasant enough take on a Scottish Ale.

500 ml bottle, as Grauballe Mosebryg Mørk, from Hos Walter, Ebeltoft. ABV is 5.6%. Black colour, moderate tan head. Nice malty aroma, notes of light roast, hints of chocolate, mild coffee and smoke. The flavour is slightly on the dry side, with the same elements as the aroma. A faint acidity, hints of prunes. Very moderate hops. Easy drinking.
