Morgendug got its name after a series of tastings, where a taster stated that the gentle but at the same time bitter taste reminded one of walking through the grass on a cool morning in bare feet. Hence the name Morgendug.
Morgendug is a classic pale ale brewed with light malts. The hops in combination with the light malts give a well-balanced bitterness.

Copenhagen 30/12 2019. 50 cl bottle from Beerlivery Web-shop. Grauballe Bryghus’ usual design in green and yellow with a glass of yellow beer with a beautiful head of foam as motive. Slightly too old (best before october 2019).
Pours unclear amber with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is sweet, fruity and malty with a dry quality to it. Pale malts, caramel, cardboard, brown sugar. Cooked vegetables.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter-ish and a little rough. Lingers for a bit.
Not as beautiful as presented on the label and I do not suppose that the smell of cardboard and vegetables shall remind me of morning dew.
