This strong India Pale Ale provides a taste experience where hop bitterness, aroma and alcohol are in carefully considered balance. IPA = Hops… lots of hops. Mash hops, first run hops, kettle hops, aroma hops. Lots of bitterness packed into a delicious malt body.

Copenhagen 28/7 2020. 50 cl bottle from Kvickly, Søtorvet, Silkeborg. Grauballe’s usual label design in green with a goblet of golden beer.
Pours unclear - almost hazy - amber orange with a big, fluffy white head. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense. Light fruity sweetness with a slightly stronger citric odor peeking in. Pretty weak.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, lively, tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a moderate sweetness followed by a stronger bitterness. A bit harsh. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Weak nose - but it actually has a descent bitter bite.
