Egå Engsø 24/7 2020. 50 cl bottle from Vin & Vin, Østergade, Silkeborg. The label is made to look like tartan in green and yellow.
Pours murky maroon with a small white head. Bubbly. Settles as thin thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a fairly strong sweet odor mingling with a spicy scent. Caramel, toffee and brown sugar. Leather and gun powder.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a light bitter undercurrent. Lingers for a while. Semi-dry finish.
Sweet, caramellish take on an Irish Ale which could use a roasted touch.
