Crazy Apache is a wild Indian – hence the name. A beer with deep bitterness and a fresh aroma of peach, citrus and pine.

Aarhus 23/7 2020. 50 cl bottle from Vin & Vin, Østergade, Silkeborg. Another feature in Grauballe’s western brand this time with the apparently “crazy” Apache swinging a huge tomahawk. Looks more like Jack Nicholson in The Shining.
Pours unclear golden yellow with a big, bubbly white head. Settles as thin patches of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a strong sweet maltiness and bitter harsh odors lurking just underneath. Caramel and cardboard. Sour grains and metallic alcohol.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate but harsh bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while. Finish is boozy.
As subtle as Jack Torrance - sharp, harsh and boozy.
