Copenhagen 28/8 2019. 50 cl bottle from Voldby Købmandsgård (web-shop). Drawing of a very young and handsome version of the Grauballe Man which most people associate with the Bog man recovered in Jutland. This version is looking very happy and drinking beer.
Pours dark brown with a small, off-white head. Very bubbly. Disappears after a few seconds leaving behind what looks like de-carbonated Coca Cola. No lacing.
Aroma is a bit subdued, sweet and sugary with a vinous quality. Sweet berries, cane sugar, honey, caramel. weak hints of peat and smoke.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, slightly sticky, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is heavy sweet. Only a weak tartness for balance. Aftertaste is sweet and sugary with a very light bitterness rummaging in the background. Prominent alcoholic presence. Lingers for a while.
Very much on the sweet and meady side. Vinous and strong. But a bit too sweet for my taste buds.
