The good Christmas beer from Silkeborg Bryghus is the type of Christmas beer that calls for another one. A beer with a pleasant, slightly sweet body, as we know it from the Classic beers. Yes, in fact, Silkeborg Bryghus' Julebryg can rightly be called 'a Classic with more of everything'.
A real Christmas-belle-beer, with a great draft beer factor. Merry Christmas.

Vanløse 3/12 2025. 50 cl bottle at my in-laws. Red label with white text in a classic beer label design.
Pours clear amber with a mid-sized white head. Stable, Settles as a 0,1 cm thick lyer of foam just managing to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is moderately intense with an odor if sweet and toasted malts mingling sugary fumes. Sweet malts, caramel and toffee. Biscuits. Hints of brown sugar. Peasant and sweet.
Rather strong carbonation. Thin, oily, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry. A bit thin.
Lively and malty Christmas brew.
