L: Jet black color, half finger brow head, messy lacing, no visible carbonation.
S: Oak, malts, chocolate.
T: Oak, malts, chocolate, alcohol. Smoother than shit from a duck's ass. Incredible.
F: Full bodied, silky and fully flavored.
O: A world class beer, no doubt. Well done!

Vintage 2006. 500 ml bottle, kindly shared by my beerpal Christian. ABV is 11%. Brew #20, "brewed 2006, bottled 2007, drinkable from 2008, good at least until 2012". Very dark ruby colour, nearly black. Moderate beige head. Lovely aroma of dark dried fruits (incl. raisins), oak, dark malts, vinous notes. The flavour has much the same elements as the aroma, with tolerable hops in the finish.

According to the (Danish) label the beer had been brewed in 2006 and bottled in 2007 (if I understood this well). I bought this in Copenhagen in 2012/13 and consumed it in Greece in 2015 after 2-3 years of sub-optimal "cellaring" (in a dark board, at around ~20Celsius / 65-70Fahreneit) and a few months in the fridge.
Appearance: Pitch black color, barely a hint of brown head.
Smell: Alcohol, roasted malt, traces of plum / molasses.
Taste: lightly sweet, alcoholic, siropy, roasted, plums.
Mouthfeel: Body was medium; texture was much thinner than what I was expecting but still accompanied by a sweetish / siropy undertone; carbonation was barely noticeable.
Drinkability/Overall: Unbelievably balanced, if there is such a thing; Nothing to complain about; complex without becoming overbearing in any sense; a truly great beer.

The brew is clouded dark amber, orange and brown nuances, an off-white slightly yellow head that settles slowly and leaves lots of lacing. Good curtains.
The smell is sweet, dried fruits, rasins, korinths, liqueur, but also cheese and yeast.
The taste starts sweet, brown sugar, fig marmalade, vinous with sherry and port, cloudberries, peaches, a small bitter citrus peel ending.
Litlle carbonation, small bubbles, soft and sticky texture, a good body, a warm dry finish.
A rather accessible barley wine, very young (vintage 2007) and sweet. A bit unbalanced sourness after a while.
