MARK Hamp is a variant in the MARK series - sour taste, brewed without hops and with local pure ingredients.
It has a strong spicy sweet and sour aroma. The beer is fermented and flavored with hemp. Great body and flavor. The hemp is grown by Søren Wiuff, brewed by our brewmaster Kristoffer Wollf.

Copenhagen 5/7 2018. 50 cl bottle from Irma, Smedetoften. Kbh. NV. White label with the rudimentary information about the beer like that it's based on local ingredients and possesses "acidic ferocity". An example of Herslev's terroir approach.
Pours dark brown with a small white head. Disappears fairly fast. No lacing.
Aroma starts out a little bland but gets more character as the beer warms up. Notable acidity. Hints of licorice and vinegar. Tart gooseberries.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, soft texture.
Flavor is lightly sweet followed by considerably stronger tart sourness. Aftertaste is acidic. A bit watery.
Interesting approach giving me a Deja Vu to the New Nordic Kitchen. The acidity works quite ok but it is a little bit too watery by the end of the day.
