Copenhagen 27/4 2014. 50 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen. Snow white label to symbolize the winter in all its snowy glory. An announcement that this is a "Dark beer for Dark times" - just to set the right atmosphere.
Pours clear very dark brown with a small tan head. Disappears fairly fast.
Aroma is of sweet caramel with bitter notes of coffee and a bit of Kahlua.
Soft carbonation and thick palate.
Flavor is rather sweet and sugary. Light fruity bitterness. Sweet aftertaste.
Why is it that all beers named after spring and summer is light and fruity while all beers named something with winter is usually dark and heavy. I would imagine that you could use a light and fruity beer in the dark winter and something dark and strong to keep your feet on the ground during the summer.
