Thanks Alex for sharing this one, never heard of it before.
Review from notes.
Black body with a chestnut edge at the rim. A ring of tan foam clings to the edge. The nose is woody, with sweet notes of chocolate frosting. Woody, roasty, dry bakers chocolate, with a good deal of nuanced malt complexity. Smooth and silky with an almost milky feel, possibly lactose sugar in there. Easy drinking, despite its age. Made a nice pairing with Annas cookies and sliced apples.

This was yet another extra from the awesome bosse! Served in a NotLA pint-shaped taster glass. 2008 Vintage, best before June 1st, 2010.
A - Pours with a dime of tan foam that dissipates to a thin ring and leaves no lace. Dark brown body that is slightly transparent at the fringes. Not much to see here.
S - The smell was superb - a wonderful mix of fresh dark loaves of rye and pumpernickel, light chocolate cake, intensely roasted malts, and some smokey peat. What a wonderful surprise!
T - The taste wasn't quite as good, but was still quite palatable. Roasted malts, a bit of char, some light peat smokiness, and maybe a touch of coffee bitterness that lingers into the aftertaste.
M - Slightly thin, but not too bad for 6.5% I suppose. Quite sticky, with lots of residual chewiness. Lower carbonation.
D - This was quite an enjoyable surprise. One of the better English-style stouts that I've had. I'd certainly have it again if it were remade. Low carbonation, low alcohol, and lots of flavor is a winning combination for me.
