July 2002: Fairly dark golden, apparently made with some caramel malts / colour malts. Pleasant, slightly sweet flavour, a bit thin. Could use more hops.

A: single finger white head on a very clear golden amber body. This one looks very good.

S: almost way too malty which comes across as wet and skunky. woody notes.

T: strong toasted malts and breads. wet and musty grains. a bit of a sour aftertaste.

M: light to medium body and moderate carbonation.

Overall: some of the flavors wouldnt be so bad if it was paired with better secondary notes. The smell is the worst attribute.

A - Pours with a big head of white foam on top of a clear, golden body. The foam settles quite slowly and leaves nice lace as it goes.

S - Some bready malt and honey notes with an overwhelming skunked hop aroma.

T - Light, sweet malt up front with a bit of graham cracker showing up in the middle and a finish with light bitterness and a touch of musty hop flavor.

M - Medium-thick body, moderately low carbonation, and a balanced finish.

D - It looks good and it even tasted pretty decent, but the smell is horrifically skunked. I can actually tell that on tap or in a proper (ie NOT clear) bottle it would be a decent euro lager but the light struck character is just rancid. Skunkier than Heinekin, about on the level of Corona.

I got this bottle from my collegue who was in the nortern parts of Europe a few months ago. Thanks Diana! Bottles best before feb 2012.

Poured in my Struise glass this beer looks like a typical beer, nothing fancy. The only way to get a head i pour the beer with force in the glass.

The smell is very thin, a bit bready. Taste stays behind when oyu compare this beer in his range. There is some sweetness but the hops were gone.

This beer has a very clear copper colour and a snowy white head. It looks a bit like Latin-American brews. It has a very strong sour hop odour. Almost like vomit, very sour.
So too is the taste: very nice hop taste. This is the only flavour that seems to linger in this beer.
The aftertaste is very dry. It felt like my saliva was being driven away. Also a little bit bitter.
The mouth feel is very dry, but never aggressive or arrogant. This is a very nice beer. It has no carbonation at all, just the bitter hop taste that lingers on.

A very nice beer, shame it was so expensive.
