500ml bottle from Beer Heroes, Chester (£3.10):
Black with a thin, creamy white lacing that's soapy on the surface. A roasted, slightly smokey malts aroma with espresso & an earthy bitterness & a faint sweetness from the chocolate at the end. There's more chocolate to the taste with a strong roasted malt bitterness & more smokey flavours with a medium body that's dry to finish.
