Hazy, burnt orange. Foamy head recedes to a persistent, thick cap. Good lacing. Fair amount of visible carbonation.
Almond biscuit. Something sweet. Brewery website suggests citrus and tropical fruit because of its American Amarillo hops and Australian Galaxy hops. But I'm getting...lightly toasted nougat? Slightly bizarre but not altogether unpleasant.
Flavour is very bitter with a strange, metallic aftertaste. No hint of citrus or tropical fruit. A LOT of resin however.
Cloying mouthfeel. Oily. Bitter.
I like big, hop-forward styles. But somehow this doesn't work for me. Can't put my finger on why.
